The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) also known as the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) or the Bruhanmumbai Mahanagar Palika, is the civic body that governs the city of Mumbai and is India's richest municipal organization. The BMC's annual budget is more than that of some of the small states of India. Established under the Bombay Municipal Corporation Act 1888, it is responsible for the civic infrastructure and administration of the city and some suburbs of Mumbai. A Job notification has been published by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and invited application from the eligible and interested candidates for filling the vacancies of Stenographer (Lower Grade) post. There are total 98 vacancies and name of the Post is Stenographer (Lower Grade). Candidates should have passed 10th Class (SSC) & typing Knowledge of 40 w.p.m in English & 30 in marathi & Shorthand 80 w.p.min English and Marathi. The Selection of The candidates will be on the basis of their performance in Interview. The Date & Time of Interview is 07 & 08/02/2014 at 09:00 to 12:00 PM. Venue of Interview is Urban Education Institute & Research Centre, Mumbai Municipal Corporation at the Block of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Abhinav Nagar, Borivali (East), Mumbai-400066 (Borivali) (East) from the Railway station Bus No.-477.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should be pass 10th class (SSC) or its equivalent from a recognized board with knowledge of typing speed of 40 W.P.M in English and 30 in Marathi and shorthand 80 W.P.M in English and Marathi.

Age Limit:

Candidates of General category should be in between the age of 18 to 33 years and candidates of reserved categories should be in between the age of 18 to 38 years. But the upper age limit will be relaxed for the candidates of reserved categories as per the existing Rules.

Selection Procedure:
Candidate's selection will be made on the basis of their performance in Interview.
