The Health & Family Welfare Department of the WB State Government has been vested with the responsibility of maintaining and developing the health care system in West Bengal. Public health, sanitation and hospitals are the exclusive responsibilities of the State. State provides financial and managerial support for the basic health care support and infrastructural facilities at the rural level, while the State level super specialty Medical Colleges & Hospitals predominantly provides the ambulatory care services. A recruitment notification has been announced by the West Bengal State Health & Family Welfare Samiti and invited online application from the eligible candidates for filling the vacancies of Laboratory Technician post on contract basis for SNCUs under NHM. Educational Qualification:
Applicants should be pass 10th/Higher Secondary or its equivalent Exam from a recognized board in Science Stream and Diploma in MLT from Govt of WB recognized institute.

Age Limit:
Applicants age must be minimum 19 years and maximum 40 years as on 01-01-2014. However the upper age limit relaxation will be given as per the Rules of Govt of India.

Selection Procedure:
Selection of the applicants will be made on the basis of marks scored in Higher Secondary or its equivalent Exam and in DMLT course and experince.
