The Indian School of Mines is a Deemed University under the Section 3 of University Grants Commission Act, 1956. ISM is located in the mineral-rich region of India, in the city of Dhanbad. It was established by British India Government on the lines of the Royal School of Mines, London, and was formally opened on 9 December 1926 by Lord Irwin, the then Viceroy of India.[1] What started as an institution to impart mining education has now grown into a multi-departmental technical university. ISM admits undergraduate students from the top 0.5% rankers out of the 1.4 million candidates appearing for IIT-JEE Advanced Examination.
A recruitment notification has been released by the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad and invited applications from the eligible candidates for filling the vacancies of non-teaching posts which are mentioned below. The total No. of vacancies are 34 in various departments. fopr other details vsist downwards..

Educational Qualification:
M.A. in Hindi with English for post no. 1, M.Sc. for posts no. 2 & 3, B.Sc. or 3 years Diploma in Engineering discipline for post no. 4 & 5 and for post no. 6 should be B.Sc./B.Com/B.A. + B. Lib. Science and relevant experience for all the posts.
Maximum 40 years for posts No. 1,2 and 3 and 30 years for remaining posts as on the last date of application.

Eligible ad interested candidate re required to apply in prescribed form which can be obtained by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs. 100/- drawn in favour of "Registrar, Indian School of Mines" along with a self-addressed stamped (Rs. 50/-) envelope from the office of the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826 004. candidates of SC/ST category are exempted from paying application fee. Candidates can also download the application form from the official website and send duly filled in application form along with requisite fee to the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad-826 004 on or before 28-02-2014.
