The Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER) Puducherry is a medical school in India. It is located at Pondicherry, the capital of the union territory of Puducherry, in southern India . JIPMER is an Indian central government funded institute with autonomy to run its internal administration. JIPMER is both an educational institute that imparts undergraduate and postgraduate medical training and a working hospital that provides inexpensive medical care to a large number of patients. JIPMER is an institute of national importance and a tertiary care referral hospital that is under the direct administrative control of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. A Greatest news has come from JIPMER on 06.01.2014 to fill up the post of Junior Resident (NPG) at this Institute on regular basis for aperiod of one year on the Junior Resident Post. There are 35 posts to be filed up. Eligible candidate should be a registered medical graduate froma Recognized University & should have completed one year compulsory Internship. The candidates will be paid Rs. 15,600 +5,400 Grade pay per month with other allowances.

Selection Process :-

There will be a Written Test (MCQ type) and Viva/Clinical/Practical Exam.

Interested and Eligible candidates may attend the Written test/Interview to be held on 20.01.2014  (08.30 A.M) at Bernard Theatre, FirstFloor, Institute Block, JIPMER, Puducherry-06 alongwith filled in application in the prescribed format(appended) along with the following certificates in original and an attested copy thereof and a Demand Draft for Rs.500/-for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, JIPMER, Puducherry-06.No fee is payable by Differently Abled candidates.  

Note : Candidates who have already worked as JR (NPG) in any Central Government Hospital/Institution need not apply again.
